About me

Hey there! My name is Sven and I am a game developer from Germany. I've been developing games since 2016. I grew up playing games on Gameboy Advance, Nintendo 64 and Playstation 2. Some of my favorite games from then were The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Dragon Quest Monsters, Pokemon Emerald Edition and Digimon World.

The first game projects I created were following YouTube-Tutorials using JavaFX, which was also my first dive into programming altogether. That was when I ultimately decided that programming is the career path I wanted to take. In 2018 I applied for an apprenticeship in software-development and have been working full-time in that field ever since.

Despite working full-time, my love for game development has not wavered even a little bit. I've been creating game projects on and off in my free time, tested out several game engines, libaries and programming languages and used the knowledge from my day-job as a strong foundation to strengthen my game-dev journey. Also, as a kid one of my favorite hobbies was drawing - with game development I was able to channel that creative hobby by creating pixel art for most my projects. You can see some of my pixel art work down below.

In 2023 I released my first (free) Steam game - Dungeon Mage. Dungeon Mage was a great first step into turning my hobby into something more serious. I started creating a Discord, keeping in touch with the community and created more game projects over the next years.

The most recent project I am working on is Gamblers Table where I am the programmer and also contribute partially as an artist - together with Bossforge as the main artist.

Game Projects

I've developed several games on my itch.io that you can download and play for free. I've also created steam apps that you can view here:
